STP Partnerships Small Grants Program (Promoting Partnerships)

About this program

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) offers Partnerships Small Grants to support collaborative activities that improve the teaching of psychology across institutions—examples include conferences, small meetings, cross-institutional classroom programs, mentoring initiatives, or development/utilization of shared teaching resources. Grants (up to $2,000 per project) may cover materials, equipment, travel, food, and related costs; Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research is no longer eligible, though non-SoTL projects with a substantial teaching component may be considered. Applicants must be STP members who teach psychology at high schools, 2‑year colleges, or 4‑year colleges/universities, and applications are due November 1 for funding in the next calendar year. Awards are often split among several proposals (partial funding is common) and funded projects must be completed within the designated grant year.
