Student Excellence in Practice Award

About this program

The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy offers the Student Excellence in Practice Award to recognize a graduate student member who demonstrates exceptional commitment and achievement in clinical psychotherapy practice. The recipient receives $500 at the annual APA convention, is featured in the Psychotherapy Bulletin, and contributes a brief reflection on their clinical experiences. Eligible nominees include graduate student members, including interns, and may be nominated by others or self-nominated. Applications require a cover sheet, a two-page clinical-focused CV, a 500-word biographical statement, and a clinical supervisor recommendation letter, submitted by email by April 1.
