About this program
The Dane G. Hansen Foundation provides Summer Reading Grants to support organizations in Northwest Kansas that aim to enhance summer reading programs. These grants focus on combating the "summer slide" by emphasizing access to books, self-selection of age-appropriate titles, and facilitated discussions. Eligible applicants are organizations dedicated to promoting literacy in the specified region, with a deadline of April 25th annually for submissions. The funding amount is $5,000, and no cost-sharing is required.
