Tamarack Award for Outstanding Contributions to Orthotic Practice & Education

About this program

The Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research, supported by Tamarack Habilitation Technologies, awards the biennial Tamarack Award to honor significant impact on orthotic practice, device development, and professional education; the recipient receives an unrestricted $10,000 prize. Eligible nominees are certified Orthotists and/or Orthotist/Prosthetists with a minimum of eight years’ professional experience who are actively engaged in research or innovation in orthotic devices or clinical practice/management and who have a notable record of publications or presentations within the O&P profession. Nominations are submitted via the O&P Foundation Portal and must include an eligibility/information form, the nominee’s CV, and two letters of recommendation, with nominators required to complete submission by 5:00 pm Central Time on the posted deadline; current employees of Tamarack Habilitation Technologies and its primary distributors are ineligible. The three-member Professional Awards Committee recommends a recipient to the Foundation Board for approval; awards are taxable (recipient will receive a 1099) and recipients are recognized at the Academy Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium.
