Teaching Excellence Award

About this program

Funded by the AASP Foundation, the Association for Applied Sport Psychology’s Teaching Excellence Award recognizes exceptional classroom educators who advance sport, exercise, and performance psychology through teaching. The recipient receives a plaque, a $1,000 cash award, and a waiver of that year’s AASP Annual Conference registration fee. Nominees must be AASP professional or student members who are faculty, adjuncts, or graduate students actively engaged in sustained teaching and who demonstrate commitment to student learning, course innovation, or educator collaboration. Applications may be submitted by any AASP member or through self-nomination and must include a CV and three to five support letters, including letters from a teaching colleague and an institutional leader; the annual deadline is April 15.
