Terry J. Cox Poetry Award

About this program

Regal House Publishing offers the annual Terry J. Cox Poetry Award for a poet’s full collection, with the winner receiving paperback publication (scheduled for 2028) and a $1,000 cash prize. Submissions for the 2027 award are accepted via Submittable or by mail from Nov 15, 2026 through Jan 31, 2027; entry fee $25 and entries are judged by blind reading. Applicants must be individual poets aged 18 or older submitting an original collection of 48–100 pages in at least 11‑pt font; translations and collaborative manuscripts are ineligible, and employees/volunteers of Regal House (and specified related parties and immediate family of the judge) are excluded. Do not include identifying information in the manuscript body—provide contact details in the Submittable cover letter or a separate mailed cover letter—and paginate the manuscript and include a table of contents.
