The Aesthetic Foundation — Interim Research Grants

About this program

The Aesthetic Foundation awards quarterly Interim Research Grants to support clinically relevant aesthetic research, with typical awards of $2,000–$10,000 (other amounts may be considered); applications are accepted year‑round and reviewed after quarterly deadlines (Mar 1, Jun 1, Sep 1, Dec 1). Applicants must submit the Foundation’s fillable PDF application including a statement of clinical relevance, hypothesis and specific aims, background/references, detailed methods (experimental model, design, patient selection, statistical methods), facilities, comprehensive budget and timeline, collaborator letters, disclosures, and prior research experience. All human or animal studies require prior IRB/IACUC approval (applications lacking approval letters will not be processed); eligibility is limited to Aesthetic Foundation members and Aesthetic Society active/associate members (dues paid), while residents/fellows or non‑members may apply only with sponsorship and signature from a qualifying member. The Foundation will not fund indirect/administrative/travel costs, salaries, most capital equipment, clinical product research where sponsor could fund it, or AI credits/subscriptions; universities must remove indirect costs and investigators may hold only one active Foundation grant at a time.
