The Garden Club of America Summer Scholarship in Field Botany

About this program

The Garden Club of America offers a $3,500 Summer Scholarship in Field Botany to support undergraduate and master’s students undertaking outdoor summer field studies in botany and to provide experience beyond regular coursework. Awards are selected by the GCA Scholarship Committee together with professionals knowledgeable in field botany. Eligible applicants are current undergraduate or master’s students enrolled at U.S.-based institutions who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and proposed research must be conducted in the Western Hemisphere; only one GCA scholarship/fellowship/award may be applied for per year. Applications must be submitted electronically or by mail and be received at GCA Headquarters by February 1 preceding the summer of study.
