The Grass Foundation – ANA Award in Neuroscience

About this program

The Grass Foundation’s ANA Award in Neuroscience recognizes outstanding early‑career physician‑scientist neurology faculty conducting basic or clinical neuroscience research and includes a $1,000 honorarium, complimentary ANA Annual Meeting registration, up to $1,500 travel reimbursement, and a commemorative plaque. Eligible applicants are MD, PhD, or MD/PhD neurology faculty within five years of completing postgraduate or fellowship training, actively engaged in academic neurology or neuroscience, and must be current ANA members; full professors and prior awardees are ineligible. Applicants must submit a nomination letter from a senior neuroscience colleague describing early achievements and career trajectory, a seconding letter (preferably from outside the nominee’s institution), the nominee’s CV, and a one‑page research description (up to three paper hyperlinks or an abstract); self‑nominations and reapplications are permitted and the awardee must present an oral abstract at the ANA Annual Meeting.
