The Humanities Washington Award

About this program

Humanities Washington offers the Humanities Washington Award to recognize individuals and nonprofit organizations that make outstanding contributions to the public humanities across Washington State. The program provides ten $1,000 awards in each of five regions and honors work that brings new stories to light, connects communities, and advances values including belonging, critical thinking, respect, and stewardship. Eligible nominees may include journalists, educators, scholars, tradition bearers, librarians, organizers, curators, historians, and other humanities contributors. Self-nominations are not accepted.
