Thomas O. Enders Distinguished Dissertation Award

The Association for Canadian Studies in the United States (ACSUS) offers the Thomas O. Enders Distinguished Dissertation Award to recognize an outstanding doctoral dissertation making an original, significant contribution to the nominee’s discipline and the study of Canada. The award includes a $5,000 honorarium, certificate, two years of complimentary ACSUS membership, and presentation at the ACSUS Biennial Conference. Nominees must have completed a Ph.D. at a U.S. university between July 2025 and July 2027, and the dissertation must contain at least 50% content on Canada while demonstrating strong quality, originality, methodology, and clarity. Faculty dissertation committee members or ACSUS members must submit the dissertation, a 500-word abstract, resume, and two support letters by July 1, 2027.
