Transformational Project Award

About this program

The American Heart Association (AHA) offers the Transformational Project Award to fund research projects in cardiovascular and related areas, with application resources and Q&A addressing topics such as sudden cardiac arrest research, international applicants, and use of generative AI. Proposals must be submitted electronically via ProposalCentral (the system opens eight weeks before the deadline) and received no later than 3:00 p.m. Central Time on the posted deadline; early submission is encouraged and the AHA does not accept late submissions, extension requests, or appeals. Applicants must be active AHA Professional Members at the time of submission, obtain the signature of a designated institutional representative, and comply with the Association’s application instructions, budget restrictions, and research policies.
