ISSFAL Travel Awards

About this program

The International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids (ISSFAL) offers Travel Awards to support postgraduate and PhD students’ travel to attend its biennial Congress. Awards provide a monetary prize in U.S. dollars, with the number and value determined by available sponsorship. Applicants must be ISSFAL members in good standing, have received their first professional postgraduate degree within the past five years (or eight years with an eligible career break), and be a named author on at least one submitted meeting abstract. Applications require a 200-word research summary and a supervisor or department head’s letter, submitted to the ISSFAL Secretary by March 31.
