Vasculitis Foundation Young Investigator Award (2026 cycle)

About this program

The Vasculitis Foundation’s Young Investigator Award funds innovative pilot projects by early-career researchers to advance understanding, diagnosis, and management of vasculitis, providing seed funding to generate preliminary data and support career development. Awards are up to $25,000 per year (maximum $50,000 over two years), may cover PI salary (up to 50%), supplies, travel and other direct costs, and disallow indirect costs; funding begins July 2026. Applicants must meet NIH Early Stage Investigator criteria (within 10 years of terminal degree or clinical training and no prior R01-equivalent), may submit one application per cycle, must have a mentor (both PI and mentor submit NIH-style biosketches), may not hold active VF funding, and institutional, IRB/IACUC approvals are required before funds are released; U.S. and international institutions are eligible.
