Venetian Research Program – U.S.

About this program

The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation’s Venetian Research Program provides grants of up to $20,000 for an academic year to support travel, residence, transportation, and research expenses in Venice and the former Venetian empire. Applications open October 8 and are due December 15, with awards announced in early March. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with advanced graduate-level research experience; Ph.D. students must have completed all coursework, and experienced museum or gallery curatorial and conservation staff may also apply. Past Delmas grantees may be eligible for a one-time grant of up to $3,000 for related research on Venetian materials outside the Veneto.
