Veterans Engagement Mini Grant Program

About this program

Chesapeake Bay Trust’s Veterans Engagement Mini Grant Program awards up to $5,000 for projects that engage veterans’ groups in healing and therapeutic services, outdoor recreation, community engagement, and green jobs training (examples include outdoor meditation, adaptive camping, therapeutic green spaces, and stipends for training). Eligible applicants are veterans’ groups and organizations serving veterans that are registered nonprofits or municipal, county, regional, state, or federal agencies; organizations that have never received a Trust grant are especially encouraged and mentorship is available for new applicants. Applications are submitted through the Trust’s Bay TrustAwards Portal on a rolling basis until fiscal-year funds are expended; match is encouraged but not required.
