About this program

The Virginia Environmental Endowment’s Virginia Program provides grants for projects that improve local rivers and water quality, restore the Chesapeake Bay, advance land conservation and sustainable land use, promote environmental literacy, and address climate adaptation and other emerging issues. Priority is given to practical, innovative, outcomes-oriented efforts, particularly those connected to pollution reduction, watershed protection, conservation, education, or environmental stewardship. Applicants must complete the revised Virginia Program application and submit a complete proposal electronically as a Word document to info@vee.org by 5 p.m. ET on June 15 or December 1; land acquisition projects are not eligible for funding.
