WACF Opportunity Gap for Children, Youth and Families Grants

About this program

The Willmar Area Community Foundation offers $5,000–$20,000 grants for new or expanded projects addressing opportunity gaps for children, youth, and families in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. Funded initiatives may support early childhood education, K–12 engagement, career preparation, safe communities, stable families, or related capital projects, with capital awards capped at $20,000. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, and government entities; projects should involve multi-agency collaboration, address an unmet need, demonstrate sustainability, and have other funding sources beyond WACF. Applications open November 15, 2026, and are due January 15 at 11:59 p.m.; applicants must view the required webinar to obtain the application password.
