Walter G. McMillen Memorial Award for Parkinson’s Disease Research

Division 20 of the American Psychological Association offers the Walter G. McMillen Memorial Award to support doctoral graduate student research focused on the assessment, treatment, or management of Parkinson’s disease, including impacts on family and caregiver support systems. Eligible scholarly projects may use experimental, qualitative, correlational, historical, case study, or evaluation methods and are expected to occur during the following academic year. Applicants must be doctoral-level students, serve as the project’s principal investigator, and conduct the research under a professor or research advisor’s supervision; only one application per student is permitted annually. Applications, due April 15, 2027, must include a research proposal, one-page biographical sketch, and brief faculty sponsor statement.
