Women's Research Mentorship Grant

About this program

The SIR Foundation’s Women’s Research Mentorship Grant supports a woman conducting interventional radiology research while expanding opportunities for medical students or residents to gain research experience. The one-year grant provides up to $25,000, including a travel stipend of up to $5,000; the final application deadline is January 15, 2027, at 5 p.m. ET. Applications must be submitted jointly by an SIR member faculty interventional radiologist and an SIR member medical student or trainee, with at least one recipient being a woman. Faculty applicants must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, while student or trainee applicants must be enrolled in an eligible medical school or ACGME-accredited program and available onsite for the summer project.
