Young Biophysicist Award

About this program

The Australian Society for Biophysics (ASB) offers the Young Biophysicist Award, a $500 cash prize to recognise and encourage early-career investigators in biophysics. Eligible applicants are PhD candidates or individuals within five years of receiving a PhD (or equivalent) who have been ASB members for at least 12 months; finalists must present at the ASB annual conference. Applications must be submitted electronically (PDF or MS Word) to the ASB Secretary by the annual conference abstract deadline and should include a curriculum vitae and a complete publication list; nominations require a covering letter and must be made by current ASB members. The Award Committee may reconsider unsuccessful nominations the following year subject to limits on repeated consideration, and the Society reserves the right not to make an award in any given year.
