About this program
The Australian Wildlife Society offers the Youth Conservation Awards to recognise volunteer contributions to the preservation of Australian flora and fauna, awarding two annual prizes of $500 each (one individual, one small group), plus a trophy and certificate. Applicants must be young individuals aged 13–18 or small groups of young people actively contributing to Australian wildlife conservation, and nominees should not meet the criteria for the Society’s Community Conservation, Serventy Conservation, or Wildlife Rehabilitation Awards. Nominations are submitted via the Society website with a recurring annual deadline of 31 December; winners are notified by email and presented at the Society’s Annual General Meeting/Luncheon.
