I started my journey by working as the Grants Coordinator for the Member of Congress for my congressional district. As an employee of the U.S. House of Representatives, I expanded my knowledge in federal grants for many years and help strengthen my community through grants. I then moved to the university system where I was able to apply my former knowledge into Research Administration. I have a total of 15 years of experience doing grants and research administration. I recently moved to a new institution where my focus is on an NIH- funded centers and where the faculty is focusing on exciting new medical research. I am happy to be a research administrator.
