About this program
The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation offers the International Resident Award, an annual $2,000 scholarship supporting one internationally trained resident pursuing periodontology and implant dentistry training in the United States. Applicants must have completed predoctoral dental education and received a DMD or DDS outside the United States; CODA accreditation of the dental school is not required. Applications are due June 1 and must include a completed application, CV, personal statement of no more than 750 words, and a nomination letter from the program director. Leadership and community service are encouraged.
