AAPT Fellowships

About this program

The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) awards AAPT Fellowships to recognize members who have made exceptional contributions to advancing physics teaching and learning and to AAPT’s mission as a hub for resources, professional networks, and advocacy. Fellowship is a formal peer honor signifying sustained service and impact within the organization. Eligible nominees must have maintained active AAPT membership for at least seven years; nominations are submitted via the AAPT Award Nomination Form through the Executive Office’s online process and recipients are selected by the AAPT Awards Committee. At the program’s inauguration, prior AAPT service-award winners who met the seven-year membership requirement were automatically designated Fellows.
