About this program
The Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) and West African College of Surgeons (WACS) offer the 2027 International Visiting Fellowship Award to promote exchange on clinical, scientific, and policy aspects of surgery. The award supports an AAS member’s travel to West Africa to attend the 2027 WACS annual meeting, where the recipient may present, and includes hosting a WACS visitor at the 2027 Academic Surgical Congress. Applicants must be active AAS members with strong AAS participation, significant accomplishments in surgical research, and a current full-time academic appointment.
