ACDS Mentoring Award

About this program

The American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS) offers Mentoring Awards of up to $3,000 to support dermatology residents, fellows, or dermatologists up to five years post‑residency in developing academic skills and leadership in contact dermatitis; applications are reviewed semiannually with deadlines at 11:59 pm CST on April 15 and October 15. Eligible applicants must be paired with one or two named mentors (mentor and applicant must be at different institutions) and either the mentor or applicant must be an ACDS member; projects must be completable within home and host institution travel guidelines. Funds may cover travel and research‑related expenses but exclude software, books, lab materials, meeting registration fees, and travel to meetings, with no indirect costs allowed; mentor written acceptance, reaffirmation of dates 60 days prior to start, and submission of final progress and financial reports (and return of unused funds) are required.
