Advanced/Transplant Hepatology Fellow Award

About this program

The AASLD Foundation offers the one-year Advanced/Transplant Hepatology Fellow Award, providing $4,000 in travel support to attend The Liver Meeting® and one additional approved educational meeting, along with enhanced career-development opportunities. One recipient may also receive the Anna S. Lok distinction, including an additional $26,000 in liver-related research support during the first faculty year. Applicants must be AASLD members enrolled in or accepted to an accredited U.S., Canadian, or Mexican transplant hepatology program, or entering the final year of a combined GI/transplant hepatology program beginning July 1, 2027, and must have an eligible hepatology mentor and transplant-training institution. Applications are due April 12, 2027, and applicants will be evaluated on academic potential, career plans, mentorship, and a proposed research focus.
