About this program

The American Floral Endowment offers annual Educational Grants to fund U.S.-based educational programs that promote and strengthen the floriculture industry, with priority for wide-reaching projects that attract young people or address key industry needs. Awards typically range from $500–$10,000 per year (and may exceed that for exceptional proposals) and are reviewed annually based on available funds; multi-year projects are encouraged and reviewed yearly. Eligible applicants are community-based organizations within the United States, with preference for programs of national scope; the Endowment generally does not fund religious purposes, routine operating costs, capital facilities, equipment, or media projects unless integral to the project. Applications must be fully completed and submitted by June 1 each year (applicants notified by September 1), and funded projects must submit a final report detailing activities, outcomes, and use of funds; funds are typically disbursed 60–90 days before the project date.
