AHP Award (ESPGHAN)

About this program

The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) offers the AHP Award to enable experienced Allied Health Professional members to strengthen paediatric GI/hepatology/nutrition care through visits, collaborative projects/audits, observation of extended AHP roles or research activities, funding activity-related costs (travel and accommodation) up to EUR 5,000 (not for ESPGHAN courses/conferences/schools). Applicants must be current ESPGHAN AHP members in good standing with a minimum of three years’ experience in clinical or research paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology or nutrition; host visits require the host to be an ESPGHAN member located in Europe and the project must be completed within one year of approval. Complete applications use an online form and must include a letter of intent describing aims/objectives and expected practice improvements, a budget, CV, and a home supervisor support letter (plus host support letter if applicable); selection is by the AHP committee with final ESPGHAN approval and funds are disbursed in two stages against receipts and progress reports with a final report due within three months of completion.
