The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation offers the AIST Foundation Steel Professor program to maintain a formal link with past recipients of the Kent D. Peaslee Junior Faculty Award, fostering continued engagement with the steel industry. This indefinite funding opportunity supports professors in promoting the steel industry and AIST Foundation through activities like Steel Day events, plant tours, and research projects, with a focus on student-related initiatives. Eligibility is limited to professors who have successfully completed three years of the Kent D. Peaslee Junior Faculty Award, requiring an initial application and annual acceptance form approved by the KDP JFA Committee. An additional $5,000 is awarded to the professor securing the most qualified student applications.
