Alexander Sisson Research Award

About this program

The Alexander Sisson Fund, established by family members in his memory, provides research awards to promote and support student-led studies focused on Alaska and the Caribbean. Past recipients have funded diverse, region-specific projects such as mangrove sediment biogeochemistry and U-series coral dating, indicating support for field- and lab-based research across relevant disciplines. Applicants must be students conducting research in Alaska or the Caribbean and proposing projects centered on those regions.
