APSAD KYP Kypri Early Career Award

About this program

The Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD) offers the KYP Kypri Early Career Award to recognize early career researchers who have made a special, unique, or substantial contribution to alcohol and other drug research. Applicants should be no more than five years post their last postgraduate degree and have under ten years’ experience working in the alcohol and other drug research field; those with only an undergraduate qualification may apply though successful candidates are commonly expected to hold higher degrees, and career disruptions are excluded from years-in-service calculations. Selection requires demonstrable high-quality research outputs, dissemination and implementation to scientific and broader audiences, and evidence of developing an independent research program (potentially supported by peer-reviewed grants); applicants who do not precisely meet the criteria are encouraged to apply and explain their circumstances.
