ASTRO-LUNGevity Residents/Fellows in Radiation Oncology Seed Grant

LUNGevity Foundation is accepting applications for multiple 2026 lung cancer research awards supporting translational, clinical and career-development projects, including an ASTRO-LUNGevity Residents/Fellows in Radiation Oncology Seed Grant ($50,000/1 year), the RTFCCR/LUNGevity Award (up to $1,000,000 over 4 years), a Career Development Award ($300,000/3 years), a Health Equity and Inclusiveness Research Fellow Award ($100,000/2 years), and a VA Research Scholar Award ($100,000/2 years).

The RTFCCR/LUNGevity Award supports early-phase interventional clinical trials that address treatment resistance or detection of recurrence—such as validation of lab-developed tests or MRD assays—and has a March 1, 2026 application deadline.

Eligibility is award-specific: the ASTRO seed is for radiation oncology residents/fellows; the Career Development Award targets early-career investigators with projects impacting early detection, outcomes, or foundations for individualized therapies; the Health Equity Award requires a doctoral degree and current postdoctoral training for applicants from underrepresented groups planning lung cancer careers; and the VA Scholar requires a doctoral degree and status as a postdoctoral fellow or junior faculty (within five years) conducting research within the VA system.
