Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship

About this program

Funded by the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, the two-year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship supports general psychiatry residents pursuing careers in child and adolescent psychiatry through mentorship, professional networking, governance involvement, and sponsorship to attend four APA meetings. Up to 20 fellows may be selected for the July 1, 2027–June 30, 2029 term. Applicants must be APA members enrolled at least at the PGY-1 or PGY-2 level in an accredited U.S. or Canadian psychiatry residency program, with two years of training remaining, and demonstrate strong interest in the field. Applications require an online form, CV, 500-word personal statement, and three psychiatrist references, including the training director or department chair; the deadline is March 15, 2027.
