Clinical Research Grant: Mentored Research Studies

About this program

The ASHFoundation offers Clinical Research Grants of up to $50,000 for one- or two-year mentored studies that advance treatment efficacy, assessment, implementation, or service delivery in audiology and speech-language pathology. Priority is given to innovative projects addressing communication disorders with potential to lead to larger-scale external funding; the next program will be offered in 2027. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent in communication sciences and disorders or a related field, demonstrate commitment to an independent research career, and propose a clinically relevant study feasible within two years. Mentored applicants must secure a qualified mentor with relevant research and funding experience and submit a detailed mentoring plan, along with required research, budget, institutional commitment, and human-subjects documentation as applicable.
