About this program
The American Kidney Fund’s Clinical Scientist in Nephrology Fellowship Program supports emerging academic nephrologists conducting clinical prevention and outcomes research to improve the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of chronic kidney disease. The fellowship provides research funding and advanced training related to AKF’s kidney health mission. Eligible applicants should be clinical researchers pursuing nephrology-focused careers and proposing work aligned with prevention and patient outcomes; applications must be submitted electronically to AKF by January 5, 2027, for the 2027–2028 fellowship year.
