Community History

About this program

The NJ Council for the Humanities is offering a grant to support community-based projects exploring America's history and its journey towards a 'more perfect union'. This grant provides funding for nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, and community groups to collaborate and develop public history projects. Applicants must submit their proposals by December 9, 2025, and successful candidates will receive an upfront grant of $1,000, with the potential for an additional $5,000 to further develop their projects.
