Curran Fellowship

About this program

Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) awards at least six Curran Fellowships annually to support research on the British/Empire periodical press in the long nineteenth century; applicants may request up to $6,000 (USD) and the committee may award partial funding. Applications open August 15 and are due October 15, with recommendation letters due October 22. Eligible applicants are researchers working on materials relevant to the British/Empire periodical press (RSVP officers and directors are ineligible); proposals are reviewed by interdisciplinary specialists and must demonstrate project importance and use of relevant materials, clarity and applicant preparation, feasibility of completion within one year, and a clear, feasible budget—need is not considered.
