About this program

The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation offers the Clinical Investigator Award to support the development of independent physician-scientists conducting clinical cancer research. Applicants must have an institutional commitment to their research, including a faculty or equivalent appointment, laboratory and office space, start-up support, and generally 80% protected research time. Applications require a mentor, research and training proposals, institutional and recommendation letters, NIH biosketches, publication and funding information, and must be submitted through Proposal Central by 4:00 p.m. ET on January 19, 2027.
