David Nason Journalism Scholarship

About this program

The American Australian Association’s David Nason Journalism Scholarship provides up to USD $20,000 to support an Australian journalism student pursuing at least one year of full-time graduate study at an accredited U.S. institution or an Australian journalist undertaking a minimum three-month investigative project with a U.S. media outlet. Funding may cover tuition, travel, living expenses, and other related costs, and applications are accepted January 1–March 31. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, and must have an acceptance or offer from a U.S. university or a formal agreement with a U.S. media outlet. Journalists pursuing projects must have 5–7 years of professional experience.
