About this program

The Digestive Disease Research Foundation (DDRF) offers a one‑year fellowship that provides financial support for exceptional medical students to conduct clinical research in gastroenterology under the guidance of an experienced physician‑scientist mentor. Applicants are expected to undertake the project as a full‑time commitment (alternate schedules may be considered in certain circumstances) and must identify a committed mentor to supervise the research. The program is highly competitive, targets medical students pursuing a scholarly research year in GI, and aims to cultivate the next generation of physician‑scientists in digestive disease.
