The American Occupational Therapy Foundation offers the $5,000 Dr. A. Jean Ayres Doctoral Candidate Research Scholarship to support doctoral research in sensory integration and sensory processing, including dissertation expenses, data collection and analysis, research materials, and dissemination. Applications open January 5, 2027, and are due February 20, 2027. Applicants must be occupational therapists enrolled in a research doctoral program at a U.S. academic institution, have completed coursework and successfully defended their dissertation proposal, and have an appropriate mentor and sensory-focused research project. U.S. citizenship or appropriate residency/visa documentation is required, and IRB approval must be obtained before funding is released.
