About this program
The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation offers the Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence, a one-time $10,000 cash award recognizing excellence among periodontal graduate students. Eligible applicants must be third-year students enrolled in an accredited U.S. periodontal graduate program and nominated by their program director. Applications are due May 15, and selection considers academic achievement, character, integrity, leadership, community involvement, and service to others; the top three candidates must attend the AAP Annual Meeting for interviews and give a 10–15-minute presentation.
