Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence

About this program

The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation offers the Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence, a one-time $10,000 cash award to recognize and support outstanding periodontal graduate students. Eligible applicants are third-year students as of the May 15 application deadline, enrolled in an accredited U.S. periodontal graduate program and nominated by their program director. Selection emphasizes demonstrated personal motivation, academic excellence, integrity, leadership, and community involvement; the top three candidates must attend the AAP Annual Meeting for interviews and all finalists must present a 10–15 minute presentation on their application and research.
