The National Dental Association Foundation awards one $10,000 Dr. Clifton & Lois Dummett post‑doctoral fellowship annually to support advanced clinical specialty training or advanced studies in research, public health, administration, or law that advance equity, scholarship, and humanitarianism in dentistry. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to improving oral health in systematically under‑resourced communities. Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are post‑doctoral candidates and current members of the National Dental Association. Required materials include an official dental school transcript, CV, professional photo, letter of request describing use of funds and program entry, a written narrative (up to 500 words), a nomination letter from the Program Director, two letters of recommendation (one from a current professor other than the Program Director), total program cost and stipend information, and a completed Photo and Video Release Form; awardees must provide a quotation and 30‑second appreciation video within 30 days of notification.
