Dr. Joseph L. Henry Scholarship

About this program

The National Dental Association Foundation offers the Dr. Joseph L. Henry Scholarship to recognize dental students demonstrating academic excellence, leadership, determination, and community service. Awards provide $3,000 to up to four incoming first-year students, with up to 12 renewable awards for continuing D2-D4 scholars, and applications are accepted March 1 through May 31.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in or accepted to an ADA/CODA-accredited U.S. dental school, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated community service. First-year applicants submit transcripts, acceptance documentation, recommendations, and a personal statement, while renewal applicants must provide dental transcripts, evidence of progress and leadership, SNDA membership confirmation, a CV, and recommendations.
