Dr. Norman Salem Jr. Early Career Award

The International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids (ISSFAL) offers the Dr. Norman Salem Jr. Early Career Award biennially to recognize an investigator who has made significant research contributions to lipids and fatty acids. The award provides US$4,500 and registration to the ISSFAL Congress where it is presented. Nominees must be ISSFAL members in good standing, have received their first postgraduate professional degree within the past 10 years (or 13 years with an approved career break), and demonstrate impact through relevant publications or patents. Nominations require a primary letter, two supporting letters, and a detailed résumé, and must be submitted by an ISSFAL member to the Secretary by December 31 of the year preceding the award.
