About this program

Dulles Research Institute's Research Grant Program offers awards up to $20,000 to support original research on sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and/or healthy priesthood in the Catholic Church, accepting qualitative or quantitative proposals from any discipline that can demonstrate relevance to the DRI’s mission and without regard to applicants’ religious affiliation. Grants are available to enrolled doctoral candidates or postdoctoral fellows engaged in academic work, disbursed quarterly upon attainment of milestones, and recipients are expected to present at the DRI annual conference and pursue publication in the Journal of the Dulles Research Institute. Applicants must provide a reference letter from a doctoral committee chair, department chair, or academic supervisor to verify eligibility, cannot be current DRI grant recipients, and must submit the application in a single session during announced application periods. There is no application fee, and unsuccessful applicants may reapply in subsequent cycles.
