Education and Training Resource Grants

About this program

The Neurological Foundation offers Education and Training Resource Grants of up to NZD $20,000 (maximum 2 years) to support development, production and associated costs for free, publicly available educational and training resources that promote knowledge of causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and care of nervous system diseases (e.g., written materials, recordings, apps, social media and tools). Resources must be scientifically supported by peer‑reviewed evidence and compatible with the New Zealand public healthcare system. Applicants must have a New Zealand host organisation (registered charity, tertiary education organisation, public hospital or research institute) that submits the application; eligible costs include development expenses, contractors/consultants/research assistants, focus‑group support and one‑off system fees, while exclusions include institutional overheads, salaries for staff already on full‑time salary, postgraduate stipends/fees, ongoing subscription fees, resources requiring ethical approval prior to release, and meeting/venue/catering costs. Applications may be submitted at any time but must be lodged at least eight weeks before the proposed start date, include itemised quotes, CVs, collaboration letters, a project description and Gantt chart, and applicants will be advised of outcomes within 30 working days.
